My magazine spread focuses on Ferrari photography in black and white. I was trying to emphasize the cars’ luxury design and craftsmanship, and I chose this theme to steer away from the typical red within their flagship models LaFerrari and F40, and the removal of colors allows the viewer to focus on the texture and shape. I was lucky enough to gain floor access to Caulley Ferrari of Detroit and was able to get images of their showroom. During the shoot I had experimented with high contrast, dramatic lighting and negative space to lock the viewer’s eyes in on the emblems and go for a more sophisticated look. The black and white editing helped create a luxury look while also creating a cinematic style that makes the car look like a piece of art opposed to a luxury sports car.
